Client: The Putney School, an independent, coeducational, college
Print Materials: Admission viewbook, course catalog, application package, travel piece/CD mailer.
Designer Notes: Going to Putney represents a departure for most anyone—where else on earth can you milk the cows at the crack of dawn, study calculus, weld an art sculpture and work in a lab studying DNA structures? This is a multi-layered school—so we designed a larger-than-life, multi-layered viewbook. We open with a pastoral setting and launch into an image of students hard at work in the classroom. The pages are filled with student oriented fun facts such as the number of guitars on campus and the number of students who have witnessed a livestock birth. It is a powerful piece with a powerful message—Putney is a school that welcomes students who are enthusiastic participants in their own education.
